Public Health and Safety

To better protect the public and City employees, the City of Kechi is taking several proactive steps to combat and limit the spread of the coronavirus pandemic locally.

Effective March 16th, 2020, the following City facilities will have limited public access (more information below):

•    City Hall, 220 W. Kechi Rd.

•    Police Station, 105 N. Sioux St.

No City parks are being closed at this time. City Hall will be accessible, on a limited basis, by appointment only.  Utility payments, court fines, victim statements or vacation requests can be put in the Utility Payment Dropbox on the west side of City Hall or payments made online here.  You also may reach City Hall by phone at 316-744-9287.

If you have an emergency, please call 911.

“These limitations are to protect the most vulnerable members of our community and slow the spread of the coronavirus,” said City Administrator Bob Conger. "We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and will keep these measures in place only as long as necessary.”

City Council meetings will proceed as planned, but all non-essential City board meetings have been canceled or rescheduled. More specific information regarding public meeting will be announced through our Facebook page and this website.
