Planning Commission

Authorizations

• To assist in making, adopting, and maintaining a comprehensive plan for the City
• To prepare, adopt, and maintain zoning regulations and subdivision regulations

Duties

• Review the sketch plans and forward comments to the potential subdivider
• Review and approve, approve conditionally, or disapprove preliminary plats, lot splits and final plats
• Make recommendations to the Governing Body on vacations of recorded plats, rights-of-way, easements and other public reservations.

Subcommittees

Board of Zoning Appeals Subcommittee

Authorized to hear and decide on:

• Variances from specific terms
• Appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Zoning Administrator
