Finance is part of the Administration Department and is located within Kechi City Hall. The City Treasurer reviews and monitors the city’s financial position and maintains the general ledger.


  • Preparation of financial reports, cash, and debt management.
  • Advising the City Administrator and City Council regarding the five-year financial plan, budget targets, and financial policies.
  • Recommending financing levels for the capital improvement program.
  • Coordination of the annual audit.
  • Performs the duties of the City Treasurer as defined by the laws of the State of Kansas.
